The procedure of dental implantation is popular. The number of those who want to install the latest generation implants in ICSDI ROOTT – a reputable dental center of the capital is growing.
There are indications for implants – “necessary but not sufficient” reasons for implant placement. It is important that the patient has no absolute contraindications.
Indications for implantation:
- A lost single incisor or molar with healthy neighboring ones. Sharpening intact dental elements for a bridge is a medical “sacrilege”, while implant placement is a safe way to regain chewing function.
- End Defect. Implantation is the only solution to restore the last missing tooth in a row. In this case, there was no hope for a long-term orthopedic effect after the installation of a bridge, because the structure was attached to a single support. Having a “root”, the implanted dental element does not need the support of neighboring ones.
- Complete adentia. Problems of adentia are solved by removable prosthetics, installation of implants. But more and more patients of the Rutt Center are inclined to the second option, as not everyone can psychologically adjust to the lifelong use of removable prosthesis.
- Two or three lost teeth in a row – provided that the teeth on which the bridge would have to be fixed are healthy. In such a situation, the dentist has more freedom of choice (in particular the combination of prosthetic instruments and implantation). Example. If two teeth are missing and one neighboring tooth is healthy and the other is not, an implant is placed next to the healthy one, on which the bridge will rest. In this way, the patients of ICDI save the healthy tooth from grinding and save money by not having to insert 2 implants.
- Intolerance to removable dentures (pronounced gag reflex, allergic reactions to the components of removable dentures).
- No functional occlusion.
Doctors of the Center remind that the main indication is a keen desire to restore the attractiveness and functionality of the dentition!
