Talk about successful prosthetic dentures can only be said if the patient receives not only a durable, but also comfortable prosthetic structure. In turn, to ensure maximum comfort, it is necessary to take care of the maximum authenticity of the dental prosthesis. In particular, it is important to preserve the occlusal surface features of the lower and upper teeth – the chewing surface and the incisal edge – in the denture.
A common tool for determining the correct orientation and trajectory of the patient’s jaws, as well as the direction of the sagittal and transversal curves, is the facial arch. The data obtained during its application were used to create impressions from which the technician created the prosthesis. Today, however, more modern and efficient equipment has been developed – the HIP-plane analyzer, which is used by orthopaedic dentists at ROOTT clinics for the best possible prosthetics.
The HIP-plane analyzer is a landmark consisting of two parts – a horseshoe-shaped plate (intraoral element) and a handle. Such equipment allows:
- Maximally accurately recreate the model of the upper jaw literally in one visit, by transferring the position of the upper teeth in any articulation, including taking into account the topographic features of the occlusal surface. In parallel, the doctor conducts a differential diagnosis of the type of deformation of the dentition.
- Analyze the peculiarities of the position of the upper and lower jaws relative to each other, as well as to determine how symmetrical is the position of the upper jaw relative to the base of the skull (focusing on the mid-sagittal line of the face).
- To develop a plan of effective orthopedic treatment of the patient. Application of the laws of orthocranial occlusion provides the highest functionality and aesthetics of the installed orthopedic structures.
This study is more comfortable than using a facial arch, and its results are characterized by the highest accuracy. ROOTT specialists use the HIP-plane analyzer to solve various orthopedic tasks: model plastic crowns and temporary bridges, fabricate any type of removable and fixed prostheses.
